In-Class Today: September 30

The following activities took place in class today:

1) Proofreading Practice: "All Creatures Great and Small," Day 1.

2) Reviewed reading journal expectations.

3) 11-1 ONLY: Went to library media center to word process final drafts of three "Model after Mango" vignettes.

3) 11-2 ONLY: Read the short story "Shaving" by Leslie Norris, with an eye toward identifying figurative language and point of view. Students were assigned to complete questions at the end of the story.

Homework:

a) Read assignment 5 of The House on Mango Street and reading journal entries for identified vignettes only.

Remember, it is YOUR responsibility to see the teacher PRIOR to Advisement and arrange for a pass when you need assistance with any home/classwork.
